Congress Date and Venue
The congress will be organized in Antalya, Gloria Golf Resort Hotel on 08 – 12
October 2008.
Transport
Antalya is a favorable region in terms of transport. It has access to entire
Turkey by air and road transport. Moreover, Antalya is the trade and tourism
center of the Mediterranean; Turkish Airlines and other private airlines have
scheduled flights to Antalya every day. Transfer services will be provided to
congress participants arriving at Antalya by plane.
Climate
The weather in Antalya will be clear and sunny with an average daytime
temperature of 20 ºC in October.
Crediting
The congress will be credited with “Continuous Medical Education (STE)” credit
points by the Turkish Medical Association.
Certificate of Attendance
All registered participants of the congress will be granted certificates of
attendance.
Letter of Invitation
All participants having completed their registration will be sent letters of
invitation if they wish. This letter will serve solely for the purpose of
helping the participant get leave from their institutions.
Exhibition Space
Sufficient space has been allocated for the companies producing pharmaceuticals,
medical supplies and books to exhibit their products during the congress. Only
those registered participants of the congress will be allowed to enter the
exhibition space.
Congress Language
Official languages of the congress will be English and Turkish and translation to English and to Russian (if there are participants).
Poster Area
A special area has been allocated for poster presentations in the congress.
Owners of the posters will present their poster on the notified date of
presentation between 08:00-18:00. Personnel will supply the presenters with the
necessary materials and assistance.
Posters
The posters should be 70 cm wide and 90 cm long. Posters should be organized in
a way to be legible from at least 1 m distance. The posters will be exhibited at
the location and stand number and on the date notified by the organizing
committee. The posters will be hung by the owners on the specified date between
08:00-09:00 and will be removed by the owners between 18:00-19:00 the same day.
The posters not removed between the specified hours will be collected. No
responsibility will be accepted if the posters are lost or harmed during this
removal. The posters shall be hung only by adhesive paste and no other material
will be allowed. Poster owners will be given assistance for hanging their
posters.
Presentation (PowerPoint) Control Services
All speakers are requested to deliver their presentations to the speakers’ room
at the congress center at least 3 hours before the time of presentation. The
presentation control at the speaker’s room will be made by the responsible
personnel. You are kindly requested to control your presentation with the
responsible personnel so as to prevent any problems. You are requested to
collect your presentations from the speaker’s room at the end of the meeting. We
will not accept any responsibility if the presentations not collected in due
time are lost.
The speakers, having their slides ready and willing to make their presentations
by LCD projector should apply to the speaker’s room one day before the
presentation so as to transfer their slides to computer.
Technical Equipment in the Hall
There will be LCD projector, computer, DVD player and other standard sound
equipments in the halls. Please notify Figür Organization Services beforehand if
you need anything other than the mentioned equipment.
